ALEXA BECKER BOHN

My name is Alexa Becker Bohn, and I'm a 24-year-old Pittsburgh native. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. The purpose of this site is to showcase work completed for a Design & Fabrication class. 

 

I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. I currently work full-time as a new product development engineer for head, eye, and face protection at MSA. I'm involved with design projects from scoping and conceptualization through beta production and product launch. So far, designing safety equipment has been an incredibly rewarding opportunity. 

 

In what free time I have, I love to relax with my husband and Boxer mix, and I also enjoy reading and playing piano.
